An afternoon with Robin Stevens!
Posted by Aston Manor |
On Friday 6th October, 15 pupils from year eight and nine visited King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys to spend an afternoon with famous detective author Robin Stevens.
Robin read an extract from her new exciting book The Guggenheim Mystery and talked about her other famous detective novels – The Murder Most Unladylike series. Not only that but pupils were involved in making up their own murder mystery story, imagining a crime, the clues left behind and name of the culprit. All of the pupils thoroughly enjoyed listening to Robin and we were lucky enough to be able to purchase copies of her books and have them signed by her too!
We were doubly lucky to bump into Robin again later that day and a huge thank you to Omar Syed Riaz who asked Robin for another photograph which resulted in this fantastic photo – thanks Omar!
Thank you to all pupils who took part in the trip and continue to take part in the Carnegie Reading Club. Happy Reading everyone!
