Year 10 Macbeth Trip!

On Thursday 2nd May, twelve year 10 pupils travelled to Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College to watch a free performance of Macbeth, performed by a mixture of professional adult actors and trainee students. The performance was set in the modern day Middle East for a really fascinating and alternative interpretation of the play. Pupils were given the opportunity to ask the actors questions about their craft, performance and interpretation and were treated to some really insightful ideas and answers! After the performance, all pupils were able to get on stage and explore the props used and see the actors’ costumes up close which was a fantastic experience. All pupils behaved impeccably and were a credit to the school as always – a successful trip all round! =D
